What is the 'Backwards Broker'?
I call myself the backwards broker as I am a mortgage broker who wants to see people pay off their mortgages as quickly as possible. Traditionally most people would expect brokers to want clients to stay in debt and even increase their borrowings as this means the broker gets paid more. I want to see people succeed in their finances and their future and have spent many years seeing the results of these choices.
Where are you based?
I am based in Brisbane QLD and as such my information is based on Australian frameworks. I have dealt with clients all over Australia.
What is your experience?
I have spent 14 years between big banks and mortgage broking. I have a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management however, I feel more experience has come from seeing and helping thousands of different people in different walks of life and seeing the impact of financial decisions.
